If you have worked in a maintenance or technical capacity within a food or medical packaging facility, we are looking for your skills and experience. Winpak’s location in Winnipeg, Manitoba is currently searching to fill the position of:

TRAFFIC COORDINATOR ASSISTANT

Reporting to the Logistics Manager and the Traffic Supervisor, the Winpak Traffic Coordinator Assistant will provide administrative support and will be assigned tasks specific to their area of responsibilities which will be selected as outlined within the job description. All responsibilities are geared towards maintaining functions effectively and efficiently to support all logistical functions.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

  • Process and work with data/internal reports. Filing all documents
  • Transpose information
  • Retrieve, print, and organize shipping documents. Match, and audit shipping documents
  • Prepare documents for data entry
  • Set up shipped orders for invoicing using in-house ERP system
  • Print freight invoices, file by date received
  • Audit all freight bills
  • Communicate disputes with applicable parties
  • Submit freight invoices to Accounts Payable within acceptable time frame
  • Date entry – record all freight invoices submitted to A/P
  • Use Cognos reporting platform to maintain data logs
  • Monitor and maintain weekly Fuel surcharge rates
  • Coverage required which includes: Working with 3rd party warehouses. Coordinate and communicate effectively with each warehouse. Releasing orders, arranging expedited shipments when needed. Act as a liaison between external parties and applicable Winpak parties. Obtain/provide tracking and POD information. Update and maintain Warehouse Report Cards
  • Participate and work towards obtaining desired results on goals and objectives that have been specifically assigned
  • Word processing, excel, report preparation, email, internet, fax, photocopy, scan, and other software/program use as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Secondary education an asset
  • 2 years’ experience working in transportation, warehousing, and distribution environment
  • Experience using Microsoft word and Excel
  • Can pick up and understand other software applications easily
  • Display and maintain accurate data entry and record skills
  • Excellent planning skills and capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills
  • Self-driven and committed to learn and grow with Winpak
