About the Role:
Working on one of our current construction projects, you will be assisting the current site team with several tasks, interchanging daily. It’s no secret that boots on the ground get the job done best, so working alongside the construction trades team and following directions from the site management crew will become your everyday life.

Functions of this role include:
  • Guiding vehicle traffic, pedestrian transport equipment, and pathways for a busy construction project;
  • Perform routine traffic stops for vehicles coming to and exiting the site;
  • Work with other traffic controllers to manage the flow of street traffic and pedestrian crossways, closing lanes as needed;
  • Communicating with on-site teams via walkies regarding issues or safety concerns arising;
  • Setting up signs, traffic cones, and barricades to direct the flow of traffic, working with other traffic control personnel to effectively manage the flow of traffic and footfall.
What you Bring:
  • Prior experience as a flagger, traffic control person, or lane closure technician preferred;
  • Current and valid TCP/ BCCSA certificate (if no prior experience as a traffic control person);
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel between job sites;
  • Strong work ethic focused on safety and efficiency, with confidence to effectively slow and pause the flow of site-adjacent traffic;
  • Physically fit and able to perform the tasks at hand, willing to aid and assist the crew when not in traffic control mode.
