Job content


  • Perform administration activities including routine maintenance and support for internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, network segments, and data communications infrastructure. Includes physical and virtual (Hyper-V) servers, operating systems, applications, e-mail systems (Hybrid 365), file and print systems, virus defense, web services, remote access, network security, voice and data communications.
  • Implements, maintains, and troubleshoots Office 365, Microsoft Domains and Domain controllers, Active Directory permissions, group policies, security permissions, print services, updates, systems and data backups and recovery.
  • Maintain infrastructure security including operating system security patches and virus defense.
  • Monitor datacenter health using management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed;
  • Research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance.
  • Perform regular backups to protect the organization’s data.
  • Document all technical procedures and user guides.
  • Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
  • Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors and service providers on projects and ongoing service.
  • Develop solutions using PowerShell; Identify and/or remediate problems/issues/requirements related to Microsoft Workplace Modernization efforts/migration to Office 365/Azure.
  • Apply analytical skills to solve complex problems and recommend alternatives


  • B.Sc. in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline preferred.
  • 4-6 years of proven experience in a Systems Administrator position in lieu of degree is required.
  • Ability to develop solutions using PowerShell, VBScript, etc. to identify and/or remediate problems/issues/requirements related to Microsoft Workplace Modernization efforts: Office 365, Windows 11.
  • Experience with or knowledge of operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, exchange, office suite, SAN
  • Experience in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure, O365, Cloud Storage, Microsoft Exchange 365 (hybrid)).
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures using Microsoft operating systems, application suites and tools.
  • Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with others.
  • Must be team oriented and able to prioritize job responsibilities to meet the needs of the operation.
  • Must be fully vaccinated or be exempt from vaccination on human rights grounds. COSTI reserves the right to require information establishing the validity of the exemption.


  • Occasional scheduled maintenance outside of regular work hours.
