Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Controller
  • Accounts Receivable, Accounts payable, and administrative duties
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, vendor bills and payments
  • Prepare and manage projects as it relates to fees, progress billings and overseeing collections
  • General accounting responsibilities including balance sheet reconciliation
  • Assisting with fees, estimates, budgets and forecasts
  • Costing and budgeting
  • Prepare financial reports on a weekly and monthly basis or as needed
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Clerical duties such as maintaining filing and record systems
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 15+ years’ experience in Bookkeeping required
  • College or University degree/diploma in accounting or a related field
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • Strong relationship management skills are required
  • Advanced knowledge of Quickbooks is required
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new software
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • High level of personal integrity
  • Strong work ethic
  • Self-starter
