The Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and recruiting candidates. This position will require you to come up with new solutions to attract potential candidates. We are looking for outside-the-box thinkers who can grow with the company. We are paving the way of the future for the contingent workforce!
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Source, screen, and recruit candidates using databases, job boards, and social media. We are always looking for new and diverse approaches!
- Interview candidates and enter the new employees’ information in our database.
- Onboard new employees and ensure all required paperwork is complete and in accordance with current legislation.
- Act as a point of contact and build relationships with the candidates during the selection process. You are their first impression of who we are and what we are about!
- Work collaboratively with our Regional Manager to contact employees for assignments and assist in dispatching/rerouting our employees to customers’ sites as needed.
- Oversee staff welfare including onboarding.
- Occasional travel to work sites to engage with employees and support on boarding needs. Orientation and onboarding at different customer facilities.
- Perform other HR functions and activities as needed and assigned by management from time to time.
- Actively try to come up with ways to enhance the employee experience.
Qualifications:
- A great understanding of social media and the opportunities within it. Being able to seek new ways of outreach is always encouraged.
- Minimum of one-year experience as a recruiter in a high-volume or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Be vocal, be involved!
- Ability to work independently and in teams in a very fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in technology such as accessing databases and utilizing Microsoft products.
- Great attention to detail.
- Must have access to a vehicle as you may be required to travel to different locations.
- This is a fast past, team orientated working environment. This role is working out of the corporate head office and is not a work from home role.
