Job Description

Project Manager, Environmental Remediation

Our client is looking for a Project Manager for their Environmental Remediation Business Unit for a Uranium mine remediation project. This position will be onsite in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the activities of a cross-functional project team
  • Manage safety, risk, scope, schedule, budget, and resources to meet project requirements, and report on project activities
  • Effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders, including the project team, client, regulators, and northern/local community members
  • Manage contracts’ requirements to ensure project goals, scope and deliverables are met on time and within budget

Required Qualifications
  • Engineering or Science degree in a field related to environment, remediation, or mining (e.g., civil, geotechnical, environmental)
  • 10-15 years of project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager. Preferably in mining construction and remediation, with experience on complex multi-year projects
  • Experience working with Saskatchewan regulations and regulatory agencies
  • Professional designation is preferred (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Ag)
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) (or equivalent) certification is an asset

Required Skills
  • Strong leadership, management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Self-starter with effective organizational skills including attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with project management software tools is an asset (e.g., MS Project)
