Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized and effective one-on-one or group tutoring sessions for students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
  • Create tailored lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards and the unique learning needs of each student.
  • Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and academic growth.
  • Assist students in understanding challenging scientific concepts in Physics.
  • Prepare students for AP, SAT, and IB exams by delivering targeted instruction and test-taking strategies.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Be able to teach both online and In-person classes

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field (Education, Science, etc.) with relevant education experience.
  • Strong command of Physics concepts across Kindergarten to Grade 12 levels.
  • Familiarity with the curriculum and assessment requirements of AP, SAT, and IB programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning experience.
  • Ability to adapt tutoring strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs.
  • Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and communication.
  • Ease of Commute: Ability to commute to our institution on a daily basis.
  • Experience: Ideally, 2-3 years of teaching experience.
  • Teaching Certification: Possession of a Teaching Certificate of Qualification in British Columbia is preferred.
