Our Project Management Team in St. John’s, NL, is now looking for a Material/Logistics Controller to support an upcoming project.
What will you be doing?
- Track and monitor all materials required from PO Placement to delivery offshore for execution
- Ensure material and equipment is delivered to site(s) undamaged and to the project schedule
- Identify and communicate potential material/equipment shortages, missed deliveries, damages to appropriate disciplines and Client
- Coordinate and manage material bagging/tagging/staging of materials for scope for all materials
- Organize and chair all material management meetings with various disciplines and clients
- Ensure up to date overview and timely reports of all materials received in accordance with planned activities, maintaining direct communication with procurement, logistics and warehouse personnel
- Communicate offshore shipment details between warehouse and offshore carriers
- Analyze and resolve specific problems as they relate to expediting activity, identifying material and equipment issues to applicable disciplines
- Implement efficiencies in process to manage warehousing function, expedite shipments, and increase HSEQ performance
- Maintain appropriate databases and manifests to track materials onshore and offshore during all stages of work scopes
- Post-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in Supply Chain and/or Logistics or an equivalent combination of training and related experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Material Controls in an offshore or industrial environment
- Proficiency in standard methods and established procedures related to Material Control
- Experience using SAP would be an asset
