Our client, a premier members-only recreation club in the Vancouver area, is looking to add a new full-time team member to their core maintenance crew. As part of the Maintenance team, you’ll help tackle general repair and maintenance of equipment in the building, maintaining sports facilities, upkeep of the building and grounds, and fire safety training. What You’ll Bring To The Table
  • 1 to 2 years maintenance experience, facilities maintenance experience an asset
  • Experience with pool systems and chemicals an asset
  • Post-secondary education or trade certification an asset
  • Class 4 Power Engineer an asset, with the possibility of a higher payrate
  • Familiarity with common plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and kitchen production equipment
  • Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift, push, pull, and move up to 50lbs, and work in small areas and at heights
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and respond with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor weather conditions
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Maintenance and operation of pools and related equipment
  • Operate, repair and maintain all equipment and machinery (e.g. sweepers, mowers, HVAC, refrigeration units, etc.)
  • Preparation and maintenance of all sports facilities areas
  • General plumbing work, including unclogging drains, replacing faucets, sinks and toilets
  • Replace and maintain lighting throughout the Club
  • Assist with electrical work including motors, switches and outlets
  • Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, clean gutters, etc)
  • Perform preventive maintenance work and technical work orders for all aspects of the Club
  • Responds to requests for service by our members and management including repair and replacement of interior fixtures and furnishings
  • Take part in monitoring the operation of the Club as it relates to maintenance and correcting potential problems
  • Assist with coordinating fire safety equipment and inspections
