Summary Of TasksSaputo Dairy Products Canada is seeking an Industrial Mechanic/Power Engineer for our Dartmouth Milk Facility. Under the responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining / monitoring and repairing production equipment as well as operating and maintaining the boiler, refrigeration and compressed air equipment.Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of the boiler/compressor rooms and refrigeration equipment for the plant
• Repair and maintain production equipment, both processing and packaging
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and breakdowns
• Work with scheduled Preventive Maintenance and Work Order system
• Responsible for mechanical overhaul, shop machines and tools
• Evening and weekend work required
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate
• Preference will be given to individuals who possess a Provincial Certificate as an Industrial Mechanic
• Experience in a food processing facility, as well as experience with automatic controls/PLC’s would be an asset
• Candidates must be strong independent individuals while possessing the ability to function within a highly integrated team environment
• Previous production experience is an asset
• Experience or ability to be trained in operating multiple pieces of processing equipment
• Demonstrated solid multi-tasking, problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Safety Focused
• Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude
• Proven communication and inter-personal skills
