ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a CAD technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our engineers and design teams to produce high quality technical drawings for our various projects. The projects that the candidate will take on will be varied. For now we primarily need additional CAD support, however this role has the opportunity for future growth.

DUTIES

• Work side by side with our engineers and design teams to produce high quality mechanical/structural drawings
• Create 3D parts and assemblies using Inventor software
• Partake in project meetings
• Partake in client meetings
• Apply best practices and company standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience in detailing of mechanical equipment and structural
• 2+ years of CAD modeling using Autodesk Inventor (Solidworks experience a bonus)
• Proficient AutoCAD experience
• Ability to read, understand and create mechanical/structural drawings
• Knowledge of BC Building Code and ability to read and understand other industrial codes
• Proficient in MS Office
• Fluency in English with excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to focus and be detail oriented
• Experience in manufacturing and shop environments an asset
