Candidate’s role in a nutshell

As a Director of Finance & Customer Success, you will manage operational financial reporting, budgeting, and planning processes in all key business functions and play a leading role in ensuring the company meets it’s short and long-term targets.

Scope of duties

  • Take a hands-on role in leading the financial reporting process including preparing consolidated financial statements, monthly management reports and analysis to guide decision making.
  • Prepare accounting records and documentation, including bank and credit card reconciliations, inter-company accounts, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, and HST filings.
  • Manage year-end external audits and be the main point of contact.
  • Manage accounting controls and tools (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Ceridian, Float) and identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business.
  • Assist in the annual forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Ensure compliance with local law, tax provisions and relevant industry and financial regulations.

What The Candidate Offers

  • Canadian CPA designation.
  • 8+ years’ experience as a senior accountant, financial controller, FP&A or similar roles (strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, corporate development).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with internal business partners and department leads.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is not fazed by ambiguity.
  • Experience in SaaS or a high-growth tech company is preferred.
