Class 3 Truck Driver & Labourer

Rentco Equipment Ltd. is a fast-paced local company that has been servicing the Peace Region for 60 years. We provide construction, oilfield, and homeowner equipment and consumables in the areas.

We are currently looking for a Class 3 Truck Driver & Labourer to join our Grande Prairie Head Office.

As the Class 3 Truck Driver & Labourer, you are responsible for :

• Transporting rental equipment to and from customer locations as well as other Rentco locations in a courteous and a timely manner
• Assisting yard hands and shop staff when not driving
• Loading and unloading the truck and trailer either with or without the use of automated routing equipment
• Following Federal Hours of Service legislation including completing logbooks and pre-trip & post-trip inspections
• Complying with Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Cargo Securement, and weight and dimensions
• Ensuring debris caused by loading/unloading truck is cleaned up
• Reporting vehicle defects/damage, accidents, traffic violations, etc. to the Branch Manager

You have the following education, training, and skills:

• Valid Class 3 Driver’s licence
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability work with people in a professional manner

You can work in the following conditions:

• 40 hours a week plus overtime when required
• Traveling within the Peace County
• Ability to lift heavy objects and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing proper PPE
