We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team in Toronto or the surrounding areas. As part of our Actuarial and Investment Consulting Group, and reporting directly to the Vice President, you will support our clients as the Actuarial Analyst by preparing pension calculations, providing analysis, and reporting on defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans. You will work directly with pension and investment consultants.

The Actuarial Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

  • Data reconciliation, analysis, and pension calculations
  • Actuarial funding valuation calculations and analysis
  • Accounting valuation calculations and analysis
  • Investment performance analysis & investment fund analysis
  • Prepare actuarial funding and investment performance reports for clients
  • Prepare annual pension statements for plan members
  • Participate in the development of proposals
  • Assist consultants on responding to client questions
  • Work on special pension and investment projects.

To be successful as an Actuarial Analystwith People Corporation, you will need:

  • A University degree or working towards one in Actuarial Science or Mathematics and Statistics
  • SOA exams progress
  • Have exceptionally polished communication skills
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Takes initiative and works well independently and in a team
  • Strong at analyzing problems and solving them
  • Exceptional client focus and professional acumen
  • Curious about financial markets and investment consulting
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
