Accounting Technician

The candidate will be responsible for performing accrual accounting for the firm’s client base and providing support to the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and produce payroll using Employer D / Simple Construc software
• Perform complete bookkeeping using cloud solutions (QB online & Sage 50) including closing entries for accounting books and reconciliation of registers for all customers
• Perform government remittances (DAS, CCQ, TPS TVQ, parity committee)
• Produce taxes forms documents relating to employees (T4, T4A, T2200, record of employment)
• Follow up on files with government authorities
• Preparation and monitoring of personal tax declarations
• Prepare and transmit various accounting reports
• Collaborate on different tasks in order to support the team

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Professional diploma in accounting or college technical diploma DEC (cegep) or any other relevant training
• Proficient with Quickbooks online, Dext prepare, Caseware, Sage 50 and CCH suite (Taxprep , corporate, personnal, Trusts and Taxforms)
• Knowledge of payroll and the complete accounting cycle
• Mastery of the MS Office suite
• Fluent in French and English

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT and BENEFITS

• Permanent, full-time position. 24 hours per weeks. ( 3 days per week)
